Actually determining what you require from the specialist can also sometimes be difficult, time consuming and daunting. HSE Solutions will liaise with the specialist on your behalf, provide a quote, arrange the work to be conducted and provide interpretation to you on the implications of the results. All the payments will also be through the HSE Solutions accounts team.

Typical additional services that we can provide include:

Food Hygiene Training

All workplaces that require operators to handle food must ensure that all staff are trained to at least Elementary Food Hygiene standard. HSE Solutions only use very experienced Environmental Health Officers that can bring their wealth of operational enforcement experience and support along to the training event.

The courses are run publicly on demand or as an in-house training course. Three levels of competency are available, elementary, intermediate and advanced. Each level is designed to allow easy transition to the next. On completion of each course candidates are awarded an industry recognised certificate.

Courses are designed for anyone who works with food within their organisation. A basic working knowledge of the food industry would be an advantage but is certainly not required.

The above regulations were re-enacted in The Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000 which modified and extended the provisions for sending, keeping and passing on electronic form reports of examinations. Asbestos Surveys

Under Asbestos Regulations property owners/managers have a duty to identify and manage asbestos within their premises.

The aim of an Asbestos Survey is to locate where reasonably practicable, the presence of asbestos and or other materials containing asbestos.

By the nature of asbestos a visual inspection (Type 1 survey) of the premises can often lay suspicion on, while not confirm the presence of asbestos. As a result, sometimes a type 2 level survey is required.

This type of survey will involve the sampling and testing of materials but will not involve invasive or excessively destructive methods. The survey will stipulate in report form the location, amount and condition of any asbestos materials found.

Where major reconstruction is required a type 3 survey would be commissioned to identify the presence of asbestos behind wall cavities etc. This is the most thorough and therefore most destructive of all the surveys.

Surveys are conducted in line with the Health and Safety Executives; Methods for the Determination of Hazardous Substances (MDHS) relating to asbestos MDHS100.
